Hello,

A mutual customer is currently on Trados Team and wishes to use our integration therein. From the API documentation we couldn't understand how to integrate with it specifically (either by extending our app for Trados Enterprise or building from scratch).

Is it possible to get some clarity on how to do it and a developer license to explore the integration (in case our Trados Enterprise license is insufficient)?

Hi Luca De Franceschi ,

For Machine translation apps, Trados Team supports them without any limitations. However, if they need custom tasks functionality, note that Trados Team doesn't have a workflow editor. They would need to upgrade to Business or Enterprise tier for that capability.It depends on what capabilities the Intento apps have.

Thanks Maria. The question is whether they will be fully compatible/usable with Trados Team and if there will be any limitations (functionality, timeouts etc.).

The documentation (at least what I could read) doesn't provide enough clarity in that sense, so we'd like to either confirm with you what's possible or alternatively understand how we can test and in case extend our apps to support Trados Team.

Any clarifications you can provide would be much appreciated.

By your integration, are you referring to one of these?

These two apps are available in the RWS AppStore and can be installed on their tenant.

Hi,
Task Ids are only available after they are created, and they are created when the workflow reaches their step, so you'll only find task Ids for tasks that are completed or in progress. You can use the webhook functionality to receive async notifications with the task id when the task is created and assign them at that point. Check the docs for more info on this approach.

Task ID for current and future tasks of a Project

Hi !

I have task-type id string but i want UUID of the task as this id is needed to run assign-task endpoint . So can you please tell how i can search the UUID of the task or get it.

Please note: i have run /projects/:projectId/tasks?fields=taskType and it returns the UUID but the issue is, it only fetches the task which are completed. Not the future ones or all the tasks of the project. I want all the project's task and then among those, i want to decide which tasks i want to assign. For this, i need complete list of project's tasks alongside their UUID.

Please also note that: i have also run /projects/:projectId?fields=projectPlan.taskConfigurations.taskTemplate.taskType api and it fetches the tasks with ids but these ids are not UUIDS and bcz of which, when i pass the id to the assign-id api, it gives me 403:Forbidden error

Any help will be appreciated as its urgent. Thanks

Trados issue in Fetching future tasks list to assign future task to the Linguist, ignoring or excluding the current task

Hi!

We have a scenario in which when we create a Project in Trados through API, we enable certain tasks in selected workflow of the project created. For instance, we enable Pre-Processing stage, Translation Stage, Implement-Linguistic-Review Stage, and Hold-for-feedback stage in the selected workflow of the project.
The issue is, if we want to assign linguist a task related to Implement-Linguistic-Review, ignoring or disabling the Translation stage by setting the value isSkipped:true for Translation stage, the task gets disabled in the workflow but it keeps showing up in the root dashboard of the project as well as /projects/{projectId}/tasks api. The issue we face is, then /tasks endpoint, even after disabling it, does not fetch the next tasks after Translation stage. It fetches the /tasks completed in pre-processing and stops on Translation stage.
We want the tasks list to be dynamic so that it fetches all tasks of the project with their required UUIDs, so that even if Manager assigns Linguistic-Review by disabling the Translation stage, the Translation stage must completely be removed or ignored or disabled, providing way for the next stage/task. Currently, isSkipped:true only disables the task in workflow with no impact on Project's dashboard and its completion percentage as it remains same even though a stage has been disabled. Moreover, the tasks list or api must fetch all tasks regardless of their status, but with the relevant UUIDs which we can use at the time of /assign api to assign the task to the linguist or translator or the one who has to do the feedback.

Please share your valuable insights as how we can achieve this and with which apis, as currently no api is providing UUID of the tasks except /tasks api and isSkipped:true is not working in ignoring or removing the task from the Project's overall dashboard and realigning the completion percentage once task is removed after isSkipped is set to true.

Issue in fetching project's Tasks list

Hi!

When I create Project in Trados, I enable Pre-processing steps, Human Translation, Implement Linguist Review and Hold For Feedback stages in the workflow of that Project as steps. However, when i run:

api.eu.cloud.trados.com/.../v1/projects/{projectId}/tasks

I get all the steps from First Stage of workflow(Preprocessing stage) and steps from Human Translation stage. It does not fetch beyond these stages and nor bring or fetch the stages or tasks Templates of later stages of the workflow of that particular Project. I have tried different APIs, but only this is the one which brings relevant needed data but fails to bring everything. It just stops at Human Translation. However, in workflows or Projects, where "Human Translation" stage was excluded while creation of Project, it used to stop at "Implement Linguistic Review" stage when i call the above API endpoint.

I will be grateful if someone could share how we can tackle this blockage and fetch complete list of tasks for a particular project or share any way around. Thanks!

Assign task to vendor via API

Via the API, I would like to change the assignee of task (human-translation) from a group to a vendor order template. When I try to do so, I do get a 422 response (Unprocessable Entity) with the following error:

Hi Laurent Pierret , it happens to know the root cause of this.

`Empty vendorConfig in plannedAssignee for vendorOrderTemplate 69399a61515d7b6bf097d2b6`

This means on your Vendor Order Template you must specify managers and assignees for all language directions.

Also we will work to improve the error response here too.

I try to capture task rejections via the PROJECT.TASK.UPDATED. According to the documentation, this event is triggered if a task is rejected. However, since the payload does not contain the outcome property (as described here), it is not possible to identify from the payload that the event was triggered because the task was rejected (maybe because the task is not finished?).

How can I identify the rejection?

I am a developer building a standalone automation service using the Trados Public API. I need to set up a Service User for OAuth2 Client Credentials authentication, but I cannot locate the 'Service Users' management area in my current dashboard.

Can you please:
Point me to the exact location of Service User management for my tenant?
Confirm if my current subscription tier supports Public API access and the creation of Service Users?
Verify if OCR (Optical Character Recognition) is enabled for my account's file-type configurations so I can analyze JPG/PNG files?

Data bridge does not support "contains" in filter
