After your professor has added you to the university account, you will have received an email (normally your university registered address) confirming that your Language Cloud account has been set up.

Your university will have also provided you information on how to access the relevant Trados Studio and MultiTerm Installers

Activation

After you have successfully installed Trados Studio , you will need to 'activate' your subscription.

Here you will see 2 options -

Please select Subscription

Once signed in- select the correct university account (not your personal account) and click OK.

Your university subscription is now activated. You can start using Trados Studio/Trados cloud capabilities straight away.

Once signed in- now select the correct university account (not your personal account)

To Activate your Language Cloud Subscription, select Language Cloud Subscription and enter your RWS registered email address and password

Once you have logged in successfully, you will see your (account) name in the top right-hand corner.

Trados Studio 2021 licenses allow you to install Trados Studio on your local machine and work in the cloud.

There are two types of license 'activation'- (If you are unsure which license you have been provided, your lecturer will be able to help).

1) Perpetual license- This requires a license activation code, to activate on your local machine.

2) Language Cloud Subscription- Trados Live Subscription models, do not require an activation code and, are activated via your RWS (formerly SDL) Cloud account.

1) Perpetual License

You will now need to access your online RWS Account, and go to LIcenses

1) Language Cloud Subscription

To Activate your Language Cloud Subscription, select Language Cloud Subscription and enter your RWS registered email address and password

Once you have logged in successfully, you will see your (account) name in the top right-hand corner.
