<p>Look how far we’ve come …</p>
<p>We now have thousands of members visiting and participating in SDL Community, a testament to the fact that users are finding relevant content and connections to make membership worthwhile. It has been truly great watching SDL community grow into a thriving place where experts and newbies alike can come together to “learn, meet and share.” </p>
<p>Some exciting new features are on their way …</p>
<p>We want to say a big thank you to you all and in turn have been working very hard to make sure we are continuing to make your community a welcoming and informative and fun place to be.</p>
<p>As of 26 September 2016 you will notice a few changes…we have</p>
<ul>
<li>Created badges that showcase your contributions in community, which include:</li>
<li>Delivered more functionality in the forums for you to see who is voting for your thread, who else has the same question in a given forum, and more</li>
<li>Added badges to SDL Employees and partners members, making it easier for you to identify SDL representatives</li>
<li>Refreshed the top level navigation bar
<ul>
<li>Member lifetime contribution levels (range from 1 to 15)</li>
<li>Most Active Member</li>
<li>Top Contributor of the Month</li>
<li>Top Contributor of the Year</li>
<li>“Let Me Help You” Badges for providing correct answers</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
<p>Badges will be automatically assigned both to external and internal (SDL) Members, so start participating, enjoy the feeling of helping others and get recognized for it. The badges are based upon a points system. Points you have accrued as an SDL Community contributor since becoming a SDL Community member will be visible on your profile as of the date above.</p>
<p>Get involved now to win an Apple Watch!</p>
<p>To kick these changes off we will be giving away an Apple Watch to our top contributor. Any points accrued from the 26 September 2016 - 31 December 2016 will bring you closer to being a community winner. </p>
<p>The person with the most points as of 1 January 2017 will win an Apple Watch. All SDL Community members are eligible to win. Announcement of the winner will be released in Community end of January 2017.</p>
