Make sure to wear suitable personal protection such as gloves and safety goggles while installing the unit or performing maintenance operations.<r/> Switch off the power switch before touching electrical components and terminals.<r/> When the service panels are removed, the live parts can be easily touched by mistake.<r/> Never leave the unit unattended during installation or maintenance while the service panel is removed.<r/> Do not touch the water pipes during and after performing welding or junction work as the pipes may be very hot and you may burn your hands. To avoid lesions, wait until the pipes return to a normal temperature or make sure you are wearing protective gloves.<r/> Do not touch any switch with wet hands. Touching a switch with wet hands may lead to electric shock.<r/> WARNING<r/> Maintenance operations must be performed as recommended by the manufacturer. Do not install the unit yourself. An incorrect installation may cause water leaks, electric shock or fire.<r/> Make sure to only use accessories and parts specified for installation operations. Failing to use specific parts may cause water leaks, electric shock, fire or the unit falling from its support.<r/> Install the unit on a structure that can withstand its weight. An insufficiently robust structure may lead to the unit falling causing possible lesions.<r/> Perform installation operations considering the possibility that strong winds, hurricanes or earthquakes may occur. Incorrect installation operations may lead to accidents caused by the equipment falling.<r/> Make sure all electrical operations are performed by qualified personnel in accordance with the law, local regulations and this manual. <r/> Connect the unit to a separate power supply circuit. An insufficient capacity of the power supply circuit or incorrect connections may lead to electric shock or fire.<r/> Make sure to install an additional differential circuit-breaker against a leakage to earth compliant with the law and local regulations: omnipolar circuit breaker, at least 3 mm separation in all poles, residual current device (RCD) with a rated value not exceeding 30 mA.<r/> Failing to install a differential circuit-breaker may lead to electric shock and fire.<r/> Make sure all the wiring is safe. Use the specified wires and make sure terminal connections and wires are protected against the water, external forces or other phenomena. Incomplete connections or fixing may cause a fire.<r/> When connecting the power supply, arrange the wires so that the front panel can be fixed properly. If the front panel is not in position, it may lead to terminals overheating, electric shock or fire.<r/> People working or intervening on a cooling circuit must hold a suitable certification issued by an authorised assessment centre proving their suitability to handle refrigerants safely in compliance with a specific assessment recognised by industry associations.<r/> After installation operations are over, verify that there are no leaks of refrigerant.<r/> Never touch the leaking refrigerant directly as it may lead to serious frostbite injuries. Do not touch the refrigerant pipes during and right after functioning as they may be hot or cold depending on the conditions of the refrigerant flowing through the pipes, compressor and other parts of the cooling circuit. Burns or frostbite may occur if you touch the refrigerant pipes. If it is necessary to touch the pipes, wait for them to return to a normal temperature or wear protective gloves and clothes.<r/> Do not touch the internal parts (pump, backup heater, etc.) during and immediately after functioning. Touching internal parts may cause burns. To avoid lesions, wait until the internal parts have returned to a normal temperature or, if touching them is necessary, wear protective gloves.<r/> Do not use other means than those recommended by the manufacturer to hasten the defrosting or cleaning process. <r/> The equipment must be placed somewhere without continuous ignition sources (e.g. open flame, a gas-operated device or an electric heater).<r/> Do not pierce nor burn.<r/> Be aware that refrigerants are odourless. <r/> CAUTION<r/> Place the unit on the ground.<r/> The earth resistance should comply with the law and local regulations.<r/> Do not connect the earth cable to gas or water mains, lightning rods or phone earth cables. <r/> Incomplete earthing may cause electrical shocks.<r/> Gas mains: fires or explosions may occur in case of a gas leak.<r/> Water mains: rigid vinyl tubes are not effective.<r/> Lightning rods or phone earth cables: the electrical threshold can increase abnormally if hit by lightning.<r/> Install the power supply cable at least one metre from TVs or radios to prevent interferences or disturbances. Depending on the type of radio wave, one metre may not be enough to avoid disturbances.<r/> Do not wash the unit as it may cause electric shocks or fires. <r/> If the power supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the producers, personnel from its assistance network or qualified personnel.<r/> Do not install the unit in the following places:<r/> Where there is mineral oil, even in form of vapour. Plastic parts may deteriorate, disperse and cause water leaks.<r/> Where corrosive gases (such as sulphurous acid) are produced. <r/> Where the corrosion of copper pipes or welded parts may cause refrigerant leaks.<r/> Where there are devices emitting electromagnetic waves. Electromagnetic waves may disturb the control system and cause malfunctions.<r/> Where flammable gases may leak, or carbon fibre or flammable powers may be found in the air or where volatile flammable materials such as paint thinners or petrol are handled. These gases may cause a fire.<r/> Where the air contains high levels of salt, such as the seaside.<r/> Where the power supply voltage is subject to fluctuations, such as in factories.<r/> On vehicles or ships.<r/> Where there are acid or alkaline vapours.<r/> Prior to installation, verify if the user’s power supply meets the unit’s installation requirements (including reliable earthing, differential circuit-breaker, component size, wire section, etc.). If the electrical installation requirements are not met, the unit cannot be installed until the electrical system is rectified.<r/> Before the hydraulic connection and electrical wiring operations, verify that the installation area is safe and without hidden dangers such as water, electricity and gas conduits.<r/> Do not touch the fins of the heat exchanger as they may cause injury.<r/> If installing multiple units in a centralised manner, adjust the electric load on the various phases. Do not connect multiple units to the same phase of the three-phase supply.<r/> The following subjects may use the unit if supervised on instructed on safe usage and capable of understanding the possible dangers: children who are minimum 8 years old, people with no experience or knowledge, people with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities.<r/> Children must not play with the unit. <r/> Cleaning and maintenance operations to be carried out by the user must not be performed by unsupervised children.<r/> Once the installation is complete, the unit is tested and functioning is normal, instruct the client as regards the use and maintenance of the unit as indicated in this manual. In addition, make sure that the manual is suitably kept for future reference.<r/> DISPOSAL: do not dispose of this product as unsorted waste. <b>Size</b><r/> 7 ACCESSING UNIT COMPONENTS<r/> Water quality<r/> Note <r/> Circulators function well exclusively with clean and high-quality tap water. <r/> The most frequent factors that can affect circulators and the system are oxygen, limescale, sludge, acidity level and other substances (including chlorides and minerals). <r/> In addition to the quality of water, installation also plays an important role. The heating system must be airtight. Choose materials that are not sensitive to oxygen diffusion (risk of corrosion...).<r/> Characteristics of the water<r/> • compliant with local regulations<r/> • Langelier Index (LI) between 0 and +0.4<r/> • within the limits indicated in the chart<r/> Water quality must be checked by qualified personnel. <r/> Hardness<r/> If the water is hard, install a system suitable to preserve the unit from harmful deposits and limestone formation.<r/> If necessary, install a water softener to reduce water hardness <r/> Cleanliness<r/> Before connecting the water to the unit, clean the system thoroughly with specific products effective to remove residues or impurities that may affect functioning. Existing system must be free from sludge and contaminants and protected against build-ups.<r/> New systems<r/> In case of new installations, it is essential to wash the entire installation (with the circulator uninstalled) before commissioning the central installation. This will remove residues from the installation process (welding, waste, joint products...) and preservatives (including mineral oil). The system must then be filled with clean high-quality tap water.<r/> Existing systems<r/> If a new boiler or heat pump is installed on an existing heating system, the system must be rinsed to avoid the presence of particles, sludge and waste. The system must be drained before installing the new unit. Dirt can be removed only with a suitable water flow. Each section must then be washed separately. Particular attention must also be paid to “blind spots” where a lot of dirt can accumulate due to the reduced water flow. The system must then be filled with clean high-quality tap water. If, after rinsing, the quality of the water is still unsuitable, a few measures must be taken to avoid problems. An option to remove pollutants is installing a filter. Various types of filters are available. A mesh filter is designed to catch large dirt particles. This filter is usually placed in the part with the larger flow. A tissue filter is designed to catch the finer particles.<r/> Exclusions<r/> The warranty does not cover damage formed by limestone, deposits and impurities deriving from the water supply and/or by the malfunctioning of the system cleaning system.<r/> Risk of frost<r/> Note<r/> When the outside temperature gets close to 0°C, the water in the pipes and unit may freeze. <r/> Frost may determine irreversible damage to the unit. <r/> Frost damage is not covered by the warranty.<r/> If the unit or hydraulic connections are subject to temperatures close to 0°C:<r/> mix water with glycol, or<r/> safeguard the pipes with heating cables placed under the insulation, or<r/> empty the system in cases of long non-use<r/> Anti-freeze solutions<r/> Consider that the use of anti-freeze solution determines an increase in a pressure drop.<r/> Make sure that the glycol type utilized is inhibited (not corrosive) and compatible with the water circuit components.<r/> Do not use different glycol mixture (i.e. ethylene with propylene).<r/> Water filter<r/> Use filter ≥ <b>40 mesh</b><r/> Note<r/> It must be installed immediately in the water input of the unit, in a position that is easily accessible for cleaning.<r/> The filter should never be removed, doing so invalidates the warranty.<r/> <r/> 8 - I segnali “VIETATO FUMARE” devono essere affissi.<r/> Area ventilata<r/> Prima di intervenire sul sistema o eseguire qualsiasi intervento a caldo, assicurarsi che l’area sia all’aperto o che sia adeguatamente ventilata. <r/> Durante il periodo di esecuzione delle operazioni, è necessario che venga mantenuta una certa ventilazione. La ventilazione deve disperdere in modo sicuro il refrigerante rilasciato e preferibilmente espellerlo all’esterno nell’atmosfera.<r/> Controlli alle apparecchiature refrigeranti<r/> Qualora si renda necessaria una sostituzione, i nuovi componenti elettrici installati dovranno essere idonei agli scopi previsti e conformi alle specifiche. <r/> Seguire sempre le linee guida del produttore sulla manutenzione e l’assistenza. In caso di dubbio consultare l’ufficio tecnico del produttore per ricevere assistenza. <r/> È necessario effettuare i seguenti controlli agli impianti che impiegano refrigeranti infiammabili:<r/> la quantità della carica deve essere conforme alle dimensioni della stanza in cui sono installate le parti contenenti refrigerante;<r/> il macchinario e la presa di ventilazione funzionano correttamente e non presentano ostruzioni;<r/> se viene impiegato un circuito refrigerante indiretto, i circuiti secondari dovranno essere controllati per verificare la presenza di refrigerante; la marcatura sulle apparecchiature rimane visibile e leggibile;<r/> fare in modo che marcature e simboli siano sempre correttamente leggibili; i tubi o i componenti di refrigerazione devono essere installati in posizioni tali da rendere improbabile una loro esposizione a qualsiasi sostanza che possa corrodere i componenti contenenti refrigerante, a meno che non vengano prodotti con materiali intrinsecamente resistenti alla corrosione o non vengano opportunamente protetti dalla corrosione.<r/> Controlli ai dispositivi elettrici<r/> La riparazione e la manutenzione dei componenti elettrici deve includere controlli di sicurezza iniziali e procedure di ispezione dei componenti. <r/> In caso di guasto tale da compromettere la sicurezza, non dovrà essere effettuato alcun collegamento elettrico al circuito fino a quando tale guasto non verrà adeguatamente risolto. <r/> Se non è possibile riparare immediatamente il guasto ed è necessario che i componenti elettrici restino in funzione, occorre adottare una soluzione temporanea. Ciò deve essere segnalato al proprietario delle apparecchiature in modo che tutte le parti vengano informate.<r/> I controlli di sicurezza iniziali devono prevedere:<r/> che i condensatori vengano scaricati ed è necessario eseguire questa operazione in sicurezza per evitare eventuali scintille;<r/> che i componenti elettrici e il cablaggio non vengano esposti in fase di carica, recupero o sfiato del sistema;<r/> che vi sia la continuità del conduttore di terra.<r/> Riparazioni dei componenti sigillati<r/> Durante le operazioni di riparazione dei componenti sigillati, occorre scollegare tutta l’alimentazione elettrica dalle apparecchiature da sottoporre a intervento prima della rimozione delle coperture sigillate, ecc. Se durante l’assistenza è assolutamente necessario che le apparecchiature siano alimentate elettricamente, nel punto più critico deve essere collocato un dispositivo di rilevamento di perdite sempre in funzione, per segnalare situazioni potenzialmente pericolose.<r/> Prestare particolare attenzione a ciò che segue per garantire che, intervenendo sui componenti elettrici, l’alloggiamento non venga alterato in modo tale da influire negativamente sul livello di protezione. Ciò include danni ai cavi, un numero eccessivo di collegamenti, terminali non conformi alle specifiche originali, danni alle guarnizioni, un’installazione non corretta delle guarnizioni, ecc.<r/> Accertarsi che l’apparecchio sia montato in sicurezza.<r/> Controllare che i sigilli o i materiali sigillanti non siano alterati in modo da non servire più allo scopo di impedire l’ingresso di ambienti infiammabili. Le parti di ricambio dell’apparecchio devono essere conformi alle specifiche del produttore.<r/> NOTA: <r/> L’impiego di un sigillante siliconico può inibire l’efficacia di alcuni tipi di apparecchiature per il rilevamento di perdite. Prima di eseguire i lavori sui componenti a sicurezza intrinseca non è necessario che questi vengano isolati.<r/> Riparazione dei componenti a sicurezza intrinseca<r/> Non applicare carichi induttivi o capacitivi permanenti al circuito senza garantire che non superino la tensione ammissibile e la corrente consentita per le apparecchiature in uso. <r/> I componenti a sicurezza intrinseca sono l’unico tipo di componenti su cui si può lavorare in presenza di un’atmosfera infiammabile. L’apparecchio di prova deve trovarsi su un valore corretto. Sostituire i componenti solo con i ricambi specificati dal produttore.<r/> A seguito di una perdita, altre parti possono comportare la combustione del refrigerante nell’atmosfera.<r/> Cavi<r/> Controllare che i cavi non siano soggetti a usura, corrosione, pressione eccessiva o vibrazioni, che non presentino bordi taglienti e che non producano altri effetti negativi sull’ambiente. La verifica inoltre deve prendere in considerazione gli effetti del tempo o le vibrazioni continue causate ad esempio da compressori o ventilatori.<r/> Rilevamento di refrigeranti infiammabili<r/> Non è possibile utilizzare in nessuna circostanza potenziali fonti di accensione per la ricerca o il rilevamento di perdite di refrigerante. <r/> Non utilizzare la torcia ad alogenuro (o qualsiasi altro rilevatore a fiamma libera).<r/> Metodi di rilevamento delle perdite<r/> Per i sistemi che contengono refrigeranti infiammabili sono ritenuti accettabili i seguenti metodi di rilevamento delle perdite. I rilevatori di perdite elettrici devono essere impiegati per individuare refrigeranti infiammabili, sebbene non presentino un livello di sensibilità adeguato o richiedano la ritaratura (è necessario che le apparecchiature di rilevamento vengano tarate in un’area priva di refrigeranti). <r/> Controllare che il rilevatore non sia una potenziale fonte di accensione e che sia adatto al refrigerante. Le apparecchiature di rilevamento delle perdite devono essere impostate a una percentuale di LFL del refrigerante e tarate in base al refrigerante impiegato, quindi la corretta percentuale di gas (massimo 25%) deve essere verificata. <r/> I fluidi di rilevamento delle perdite sono adatti per l’uso con la maggior parte dei refrigeranti, sebbene sia da evitare l’utilizzo di detergenti contenenti cloro, in quanto questa sostanza può reagire con il refrigerante e corrodere le tubazioni in rame.<r/> Se si sospetta una perdita, tutte le fiamme libere devono essere rimosse o spente. <r/> Se viene individuata una perdita di refrigerante che richieda brasatura, tutto il refrigerante viene recuperato dal sistema o isolato (per mezzo di valvole di intercettazione) in una parte del sistema lontana dalla perdita. L’azoto esente da ossigeno (OFN) viene quindi spurgato attraverso il sistema sia prima che durante il processo di brasatura.<r/> Rimozione ed evacuazione<r/> Quando si interviene sul circuito refrigerante per effettuare riparazioni o per qualsiasi altro scopo devono essere adottate le procedure normalmente previste. Tuttavia, tenuto conto del rischio di infiammabilità, è consigliabile attenersi alla migliore prassi. Attenersi alla seguente procedura:<r/> rimuovere il refrigerante;<r/> spurgare il circuito con gas inerte;<r/> evacuare;<r/> spurgare di nuovo con gas inerte;<r/> interrompere il circuito tramite interruzione o brasatura.<r/> La carica di refrigerante deve essere raccolto nelle bombole di recupero corrette. Per rendere sicura l’unità deve essere eseguito il flussaggio con azoto esente da ossigeno. È possibile che questa procedura debba essere ripetuta più volte. Per questa operazione non devono essere impiegati aria compressa o ossigeno.<r/> Il flussaggio si ottiene interrompendo il vuoto nel sistema con l’OFN e continuando a riempire fino al raggiungimento della pressione di esercizio, quindi effettuando lo sfiato nell’atmosfera e infine ripristinando il vuoto. Questo processo deve essere ripetuto fino a quando non vi sarà più alcuna traccia di refrigerante nel sistema.<r/> Quando viene utilizzata la carica OFN finale, deve essere effettuato lo sfiato del sistema fino alla pressione<r/> atmosferica, per consentire l’intervento. Questo passaggio è assolutamente fondamentale se devono essere<r/> effettuate le operazioni di brasatura sulle tubazioni.<r/> Assicurarsi che la presa della pompa da vuoto non sia vicina a eventuali fonti di accensione e che vi sia<r/> un’adeguata ventilazione.<r/> Procedure di carica<r/> Oltre alle convenzionali procedure di carica, devono essere rispettati i seguenti requisiti:<r/> Nell’utilizzo dell’apparecchiature di carica, controllare che non si verifichi la contaminazione di diversi refrigeranti. I tubi flessibili o i condotti devono essere più corti possibile per ridurre al minimo la quantità di refrigerante contenuta.<r/> Le bombole devono essere mantenute in posizione verticale.<r/> Prima di caricare il sistema con il refrigerante, controllare che il sistema di refrigerazione sia collegato a terra.<r/> Etichettare il sistema quando la carica è completa (se non è già etichettato).<r/> Prestare estrema cautela a non riempire eccessivamente il sistema di refrigerazione.<r/> Prima di ricaricare il sistema deve essere sottoposto a prova di pressione con OFN. Al termine dell’operazione di carica ma prima della messa in esercizio, il sistema deve essere sottoposto a una prova di tenuta. Prima di lasciare il sito deve essere eseguita una prova di tenuta di verifica.<r/> Smantellamento<r/> Prima di eseguire questa procedura, è essenziale che il tecnico abbia acquisito familiarità con le apparecchiature e tutti i relativi dettagli. <r/> Si raccomanda di adottare una buona prassi per il recupero sicuro dei refrigeranti. <r/> Prima di compiere l’operazione, deve essere prelevato un campione di olio e di refrigerante Nel caso in cui sia necessaria un’analisi prima di riutilizzare il refrigerante rigenerato. Prima di iniziare ad eseguire l’operazione, è essenziale che vi sia energia elettrica a disposizione.<r/> Acquisire familiarità con le apparecchiature e il relativo funzionamento.<r/> Isolare elettricamente il sistema.<r/> Prima di tentare la procedura controllare che:<r/> l’apparecchiatura di manipolazione meccanica sia disponibile, se necessario, per la movimentazione di bombole di refrigerante;<r/> tutto l’equipaggiamento protettivo personale sia disponibile e venga impiegato correttamente;<r/> il processo di recupero venga monitorato in ogni momento da personale competente;<r/> le apparecchiature di recupero e le bombole siano conformi a standard adeguati.<r/> Se possibile, pompare il sistema refrigerante.<r/> Se non è possibile ottenere il vuoto, fare in modo che un collettore rimuova il refrigerante da diverse parti del sistema.<r/> Prima di eseguire il recupero, controllare che la bombola si trovi sulle bilance.<r/> Avviare la macchina di recupero e azionarla in conformità alle istruzioni del produttore.<r/> Non riempire eccessivamente le bombole. (Non oltre l’80% il volume di carica del liquido).<r/> Non superare la pressione di esercizio massima della bombola, neanche momentaneamente.<r/> Una volta riempite correttamente le bombole e terminato il processo, controllare che le bombole e le apparecchiature vengano subito rimosse dal sito e che tutte le valvole di isolamento sull’apparecchiatura siano chiuse.<r/> Il refrigerante recuperato non deve essere caricato in un altro sistema di refrigerazione a meno che questo non sia stato pulito e controllato.<r/> Etichettatura<r/> Le apparecchiature devono essere etichettate indicando lo smantellamento e lo svuotamento del refrigerante.<r/> Sull’etichetta devono essere apposte data e firma. <r/> Controllare che sulle apparecchiature siano presenti etichette che indichino la presenza di refrigerante infiammabile.<r/> Recupero<r/> In fase di rimozione del refrigerante dal sistema, si raccomanda di adottare la buona prassi per rimuovere in modo sicuro tutti i refrigeranti, sia in caso di assistenza che di smantellamento.<r/> Nella fase di trasferimento del refrigerante nelle bombole, verificare che vengano impiegate esclusivamente bombole adeguate per il recupero del refrigerante. <r/> Assicurarsi che sia disponibile il numero corretto di bombole per la carica totale del sistema. <r/> Tutte le bombole da utilizzare sono designate per il refrigerante recuperato e vengono etichettate per quello specifico refrigerante (ad es. bombole speciali per la raccolta del refrigerante). <r/> Le bombole devono essere dotate do valvola di sicurezza e relative valvole di intercettazione perfettamente funzionanti.<r/> Le bombole di recupero vuote vengono evacuate e, se possibile, raffreddate prima che avvenga il recupero.<r/> Le apparecchiature di recupero devono essere perfettamente funzionanti con i rispettivi libretti di istruzioni a portata di mano, ed essere adatte al recupero dei refrigeranti infiammabili. È necessario inoltre che sia disponibile anche una serie di bilance calibrate e perfettamente funzionanti.<r/> I tubi flessibili devono essere dotati di attacchi di scollegamento a tenuta stagna e in buone condizioni. Prima di utilizzare la macchina di recupero, verificare che si trovi in condizioni soddisfacenti, che sia stata eseguita una corretta manutenzione e che tutti i componenti elettrici associati siano sigillati per evitare la combustione in caso di rilascio del refrigerante.
